Angela McMullin Coleman
Trauma-informed Therapist
Angela McMullin Coleman is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with a specialized focus on trauma and attachment. With more than ten years of experience in private practice, she currently serves clients in the Phoenix area and holds active licenses in both Arizona and Missouri.
Angela earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Missouri and later obtained her Master of Social Work from Washington University in St. Louis. Her professional training includes the assessment and treatment of state-mandated sex offenders, work with survivors of sexual abuse, and extensive experience addressing complex trauma and deeply rooted attachment challenges.
Prior to relocating to Arizona, Angela founded and served as President of Kingsport Thoroughbreds, Inc., a nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting horses from neglect, cruelty, and inhumane treatment. The organization focused on providing long-term care while promoting the physical, emotional, and mental well-being of the animals. It also offered equine-assisted activities for personal development and educational programs for the community. In conjunction with this work, Angela operated Kingsport Therapy Center, LLC, where she integrated equine-assisted therapy into her psychotherapy practice to support long-term emotional growth.
Today, Angela continues her work as a trauma-informed therapist in private practice, with locations in Glendale and Fort McDowell. Her Fort McDowell practice incorporates a nature-based approach, including equine-assisted cognitive behavioral therapy.
She specializes in treating PTSD, relationship challenges, attachment issues, trauma, codependency, and related concerns.
