Stacie Sheridan
Founder / Director of the Southwest Guardian Foundation
Stacie Sheridan is a proud Arizona native with deep roots in law enforcement. She was raised in a family dedicated to public service—her father, a decorated Phoenix police officer, was honored with both the Medal of Valor and the Blair Award, while her mother served as a deputy with the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office. This strong foundation instilled in her a lifelong respect for service, integrity, and community protection.
A driven and accomplished student, Stacie graduated at the end of her junior year of high school before continuing her education at Scottsdale Community College, where she studied Administration of Justice. Her early academic achievements reflected both her determination and her commitment to understanding the systems that protect and serve the public.
In 1990, Stacie married Jerry Sheridan, now the Sheriff of Maricopa County. Together, they have built a strong family, raising two children and now enjoying time with their two grandchildren.
Following her husband’s election as Sheriff in 2024, Stacie gained firsthand insight into the realities of law enforcement by riding along with the Phoenix Police Department’s HEAT Team. That experience proved to be a turning point—opening her eyes to the urgent and devastating issue of human and sex trafficking. Moved by what she witnessed, Stacie became committed to making a meaningful difference in this critical area.
Today, she is focused on using her voice, background, and passion to raise awareness, support law enforcement efforts, and advocate for victims of trafficking—working to bring hope, protection, and justice to those who need it most.
